Tai Chi

Meets Mondays at 7:00 p.m. (meets April 3, 10, 17, & 24 and May 1, 15, & 22)

If you've never tried Tai Chi, now's your chance. Described as "meditation in motion" Tai Chi can be a gentle way to fight the stress of everyday living and may have a number of health benefits. Try it and see!

 

Knitting & Crochet Club

Every Tuesday of the month, 10:00 a.m. - noon (April 4, 11, 18, & 25  and May 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30)

Are you a knitter or crocheter looking to expand your fiber-related circle and have a bit of fun?  Grab your needles, yarn, and patterns for fun conversation and  stitching.

Mechanicsville Library Book Club

Meets the third Wednesday of every month at 11:00 a.m.  (April 19 and May 17)

 

Senior Storytime

Held on the fourth Friday of every month at 10:00 a.m. (April 28 and May 26)

Relax and enjoy light and lively tales at this Storytime for adults.

Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Mechanicsville Library.

Teen Tuesdays: Art Show

Tuesday, April 4, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Ages 11-18.  Bring your artwork to the library by Saturday, April 1 (any medium).  Then bring your friends this Tuesday and vote for the winners.  Lots of winners, lots of prizes.  All artwork will be displayed through April.

 

PRL Genealogy Club

Wednesday, April 5, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

John McClure, Director of Research Services at the Virginia Historical Society, is our featured speaker.  He will talk about how the Virginia Historical Society began, the rich and varied collections it has, and how researchers (including genealogists) use its Library materials.  He'll share tips on search techniques, followed by a Q&A session.

 

Computer Basics Class

Thursday, April 6, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Covers beginning computer skills like finding out about the parts of a computer, learning how to use a mouse, beginning to explore & search the Internet, and how to create and save documents with Microsoft Word 2010. Call 804-746-9615 or visit the library to sign up for this class.

 

Hanover Master Gardeners
