Poetry Tree

April 1-29.

Celebrate National Poetry Month by adding your favorite poem or verse to our Poetry Tree.  Find a poem to share with others or write your own.  This event will run during library hours until Saturday, April 29.

 

Hanover Master Gardeners

Learning Microsoft Word Class

Tuesday, April 18, 10:00 a.m. - noon

Learn how to complete basic tasks in Microsoft Word 2010, like editing and saving a document, how to add formatting, and more.  Call 804-798-4072 or visit the library to sign up for this class.

 

The Lemon Project: a Story of a Slave

Thursday, May 4, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Dr. Jody Allen will talk about the experiences of Lemon, an African-American slave at the College of William and Mary.

Sponsored by the Ashland Museum and the Ashland Branch Library.

 

Creative Movement & Music

Saturday, May 6, 11:00 - noon

Celebrate Children's Book Week with our special friends from 804 Dance Place!  Promote your creativity and imagination with group movement and dance activities.

 

Make & Take: Flowers from Pine Cones

Tuesday, May 9, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Ages 16-Adult. Spend an enjoyable evening creating a bouquet of "zinnias" out of pine cones.  Easy to do and fun for everybody!
