Learn how to search for  information to build your family tree using Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest. (Basic computer experience is preferred.) You must call 804-798-4072 or visit the library to sign up for this class.

 

Computer Basics Class

Tuesday, September 19, 10:00 a.m. - noon

Covers beginning computer skills like finding out about the parts of a computer, learning how to use a mouse, beginning to explore & search the Internet, and how to create and save documents with Microsoft Word 2010. Call 804-798-4072 or visit the library to sign up for this class.

 

Solve the Breakout Box

Tuesday, September 19, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ages 18-Adult. Test your mental skills with our new Breakout Box!  Solve mysteries and puzzles to get to the sweet surprise at the end.

Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Ashland Library.

 

Ashland Rocks!

Thursday, September 21, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Create an amazing piece of art to be showcased here at the library and learn about an RVA-area scavenger hunt. Decorate your river rock and leave it at the library, then track it online and search for other rocks in the area.

 

Captain Underpants Party

Tuesday, September 26, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Grades K-5. Tra-la-laaa! Fly on in for a sensational time with everyone's favorite principal-turned-superhero! Enjoy games, jokes and tasty treats provided by the Friends of the Ashland Library.

 

Meet Ashland Main Street!

Wednesday, October 11, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ages 18 & up. Tom Wulf, director of the Ashland Main Street Association, shares upcoming AMSA projects, ways for you to help out, and how to become more involved in your community.

Thursday, October 12, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Ages 11-16. Who doesn’t love a great game of BINGO, but with book covers and prizes!

Make Your Own Sock Monster

Wednesday, October 25, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Ages 5-10. Learn how to make an awesome monster using just a sock, buttons, felt, needle, and thread.  It's a great silly, spooky way to get ready for Halloween!
